How to find a hotel room with a hot tub in it

We do not list in-room hot tubs yet, on purpose. Hotel amenity data says whether a property has a hot tub, not whether a room does, and room types change faster than listings. The only reliable source is the hotel itself. Here is how to ask.

Names that usually mean a tub in the room

  • "Whirlpool suite", "spa suite", "jacuzzi suite" or "king with whirlpool".
  • "Jetted tub" in the room description (often a two-person bath, not a true hot tub).
  • "Private hot tub" on a balcony or patio, common at resorts and cabins.

Ask the hotel directly

  1. Do you have rooms with a whirlpool or hot tub in the room, and what is the room type called?
  2. Is it a jetted bathtub or a hot tub that stays heated?
  3. Can you guarantee that room type for my booking, not just request it?
  4. Is the tub indoors in the room, or outside on a balcony?

Book the named room type directly with the hotel and keep the confirmation that names it. A request note on a third-party booking is not a guarantee.

Property hot tubs are easier

If a shared hot tub is enough, many hotels on this site list one next to the indoor pool. Look for "Hot tub: yes" on each hotel page, which comes from the hotel's Google Hotels amenity list.
