hotelswithindoorpools.com lists hotels and resorts in the United States with an indoor pool, and indoor waterpark resorts, with the source and check date for every listing. It is built for families planning a trip in cold or wet weather, who need the pool to be indoor and open.

How a hotel qualifies

  1. We run Google Hotels searches with the "Indoor pool" amenity filter for the 200 largest US cities and more than 150 family destinations.
  2. That search only nominates candidates. For every candidate we read the hotel's own Google Hotels record and require "Indoor pool" to be marked available in its amenity list.
  3. We then read Google's written description of the same hotel and, where we can, the hotel's own website. If either describes only an outdoor pool, or the hotel's site says the hotel or pool is closed, we leave the hotel out. A hotel that both Google signals or its own website confirm is listed as verified.
  4. Brand websites (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice and others) block automated checks. A hotel that only Google's amenity list confirms stays on the site only if at least two independent travel sites also name an indoor pool for it; it is marked "call to confirm" and never counts toward a city page.
  5. We drop vacation rentals, duplicate records, records with no street address and anything outside the US.
  6. Every hotel page shows its source, which signals agree and the date we checked it.

City pages need at least three verified hotels. Hotels in nearby towns within 25 miles appear on the city page too, with the distance shown, and every hotel is on its state page.

Indoor waterpark resorts

The waterpark list is curated by hand. Each resort is checked on its own official website, which must describe an indoor waterpark on site. We record slide counts, square footage and day passes only when the resort's own site states them, and leave them out otherwise.

What we do not show

  • Prices, because they change by the hour. Live prices and photos open on the booking site.
  • Photos we copied. We do not copy, hotlink or re-host hotel photos; the photo buttons open Booking.com, Expedia or Google Maps.
  • Review text. Where Google shows a rating, we show the number and count with the date.
  • In-room hot tubs, because no data source we trust says which rooms have them.

What can still be wrong

Pools close for repairs, renovations and seasons, and listings lag behind. Always confirm with the hotel before you book. If you find an error, a closed pool or a pool that is actually outdoor, email contact@hotelswithindoorpools.com and we will re-check it.

Money

The site is paid for by advertising and by booking commissions. The "See photos & prices" buttons open Booking.com and Expedia; links to those sites are affiliate links handled by Stay22, so if you book we earn a commission, at no cost to you. Commissions never decide whether a hotel is listed: hotels cannot pay to be listed, and we do not take payment to change what a listing says.
